(fractal) a world of little things

2023
Miré Regulus

what sturdies and holds
breathes life into skin and bones
Lumps of clay
calling supposed knowns into question

in the spirit of fear we bark at one another
hold hands
look off into long distances
Not promised not threatened, change just is

the ample capacity of ground and earth for example spinach and other green things
The whole round thing will manage
if we let it

bodies anchor to ground
both comforted and agitated by the elements
Vibrant persisting
until frittered away to scrap and memory

any place water meets land
Any vista where grasses swish-hush on plains
unwind re-twist
play a part in wild harmonious song

A dawn, a day, a dark
We want to say we know this world

study small things cupped in hand
reconsider the question
Return to the same answer
now full of new atoms adjusted in understanding
